Rainbow Retrospective 2018
The Rainbow Serpent Festival retrospective film has become a bit of a milestone each year for the team that work on it with me.
After focussing on the festival community for the 2017 film this year I wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the local characters from the Pyrenees Shire where Rainbow has been held for the last 20 years.
We arranged to spend some time prior to the festival discovering the sites and sounds of Beaufort and chatting to the locals about the mass migration of flamboyant and diverse people from around the globe to their small regional town.
We absolutely loved the final piece. It reflects beautifully the culture of acceptance and the warm welcome the Rainbow tribe receive each year.
Big thanks to NOli Ganda from Byron Film once again for putting up with me during the process of making this years retrospective.
